CPR PRO FOR THE PROFESSIONAL RESCUER

CPR Pro - for the Professional Rescuer is a basic life support program designed for healthcare providers and first responders inside and outside the hospital. The program covers sudden cardiac arrest, heart attack, and stroke; foreign body airway obstruction; cardiopulmonary resuscitation; and use of an automated external defibrillator.

CPR Pro for the Professional Rescuer program materials are based upon the most recent science, treatment recommendations and guidelines; meet the requirements of the Joint Commission; and are an equivalent and acceptable alternative to resuscitation programs offered by the American Heart Association®, Inc. and American National Red Cross.

Additionally, CPR Pro for the Professional Rescuer has been nationally approved by the Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS*). CECBEMS is the national accrediting body for Emergency Medical Services continuing education courses and course providers, and employs a peer-review process for accreditation similar to other healthcare professions.

CPR/AED and BASIC FIRST AID

The essentials program is designed to provide the student with the minimum knowledge necessary to provide emergency care for injury or sudden illness during the brief interval between incident and EMS arrival.

ASHI FIRST RESPONDER

The ASHI First Responder program is intended for individuals who, in the course of performing other duties, are likely (or expected) to respond to emergencies, such as law enforcement officers, fire fighters, and other public and private safety and service personnel.

The goal of the program is to help students develop the knowledge and skills necessary to provide lifesaving interventions while awaiting the arrival of EMS personnel. ASHI has collaborated with two leading publishers of first responder student textbooks and instructor materials, Brady and Mosby/JEMS (Elsevier), to bring you the ASHI First Responder program.

The goal of this course is to provide students with core knowledge, skills, and attitudes to function in the capacity of a first responder consistent with U.S. National Standard Curriculum.

CPR-AED provides individuals with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide effective basic life support in an emergency. This class is intended for persons who do not work in the healthcare field but are occupationally required to, or desire to, have CPR knowledge and skills, such as emergency response teams in business and industry, school bus drivers, adult residential care personnel, child care workers, teachers, parents and babysitters.

In this course you will learn:

Learn to perform CPR using the proper procedures and positions
How to manage choking in a responsive victim
How to correctly attach and operate an AED and how to coordinated CPR and AED to minimize interruptions in chest compressions
Learn about heart disease and stroke and emergency action steps to take during an emergency situation

The Wilderness Emergency Care program supports a family of courses to meet the needs of everyone with outdoor interests, from those taking easy day trips to those involved in challenging and technical activities, including wilderness rescue. Basic Wilderness First Aid is a course for those involved in wilderness recreation and may also meet the needs of volunteers and professionals who lead groups on short trips in relatively low-risk situations.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL RESPONSE

EMERGENCY MEDICAL RESPONSE FOR THE COMMUNITY AND WORKPLACE Brochure.pdf

Emergency Medical Response for Adults in the Workplace is a combined CPR, AED, and first aid training program with a focus on adults. It is designed specifically to provide laypersons with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide emergency care for the suddenly ill or injured adults prior to the arrival of emergency medical care professionals. Emergency Medical Response will help employers meet regulatory requirements for CPR, AED, and first aid training in the workplace.

This course also contains expanded information on blood borne pathogens and emergency oxygen administration to enhance knowledge and understanding of these two important and related emergency care topics. The information presented is for informational purposes only – to receive certification cards in these topics, students must take the full Bloodborne Pathogens or Emergency Oxygen Administration courses.

BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS

BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS Brochure.pdf

This program includes information that will help students understand what bloodborne pathogens are and how risks of exposure can be reduced for themselves and for others. The program assists in satisfying the training requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030).

In this course you will learn:
Discuss how to properly dispose of razors, needles, and syringes
Know the importance of using gloves and other protective equipment
Learn about types of bloodborne pathogens
Understand how to reduce the risks of exposure to bloodborne pathogens

CANCELLATION POLICY
Due to availability of classes and instructor fees, there will be no refund if a student cancels less than 3 days before the start of the class. There will be a $25 transfer fee per person to switch to a different class if rescheduled less than 3 days prior to class. Fees are non-refundable if you withdraw from the course.

All Atlantis Divers Instructors are: staff - not independent, cross-certified, run dive expeditions, committed and have helped build the best training programs possible.
